Damn, I wish it would snow up in our mountains soon. I can't wait to go back and do some more snowboarding. I'll be heading up to Big Bear this time, but they've got very little open at their resorts right now.

I'll be heading to the Snow Summit resort.

I've got digital pix from the trip, I just need to do something with them. I'll find some time this weekend for them.

Send some of that snow down here to the lone star state. Christmas in shorts just don't seem right.

Doesn't Austin get hit with snow?

Nah, the layer of marijuana smoke wafting from the UT campus usually insulates Austin from the majority of freezing weather.

Here in Dallas, about 4 hours north of Austin, we'll get a few inches of snow for a day or two at the end of January every other year or so. At which point most people assume the next ice age is upon them and proceed to mob the grocery stores for bottled water and soup. Or you have the idiots that think that four wheel drive vehicles somehow magically negate iced roads; every pile up of three or more cars usually starts with a Chevy Bronco in the middle of it.

You wanna talk football??!! The PATS baby ! going all the way ... the team has been amazing this year. Another great game in snowy Foxboro ... did anyone see the highlights? it was really cool how the fans were throwing snow in the air when they celebrated the interception...

we got over 2 feet of snow some places here in Boston . Weekends like this, I'm glad I don't own a car !

Getting back to the snow, I'm sure you're all desperate to know that it is 41.5 degrees Celcius in Adelaide today!(thats 106.7 fahrenheit for all you yanks)

I don't believe in snow...Merry (brown) Christmas all the same

luckily, i placed a few local beverages in the refrigerator this morning, before I left. That may partially compensate for the fact that our air-con just died last night, and that I have an exam first thing tomorrow....

but then again, it may not.
