| Folks,I have a database that has not been in use for some time, there is currently no activity on the database, yet the transaction log is occupying 30MB. I have backed it up and attempted to shrink the file but it stays at 30MB, I just don't get it. Can anybody tell me why? There are no sessions on this database.ThanksSandra |

| The log is currently 33Mb and it's not large. I don't understand why there is anything in the log though. I am going to restart the sql server services but I'd like to understand why the log has this size.thanks for your help |
