Damian can you stop deleting relevant posts of mine, keep the forums clean and treat everyone equally. Do not delete my replies and keep others which are demeaning to me.I'm not sure who runs the show here, but damian if you have something against me don't reply to my threads, it's that simple. But you deleting the thread I put up here..and the one below is getting out of hand.http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=43194 |

Hi JonI've just seen your "Clean it up" post moved into a "quarantine" topic area. It's 11am Sunday morning here, I woke up not long ago.I've yet to find out what happened in the last 12 or more hours, but it certainly wasn't me deleting your posts.I really don't like being called "unfair", I don't know if you have ever noticed, but I have been on the receiving end of more personal attacks on this forum than anybody else, and I don't even delete THAT!Now, on the subject of help. I love helping people on this forum, it's why I've been here since almost the beginning. It's why I give my time to help keep the site running. Often in the past, when people have flamed newbies for asking questions, I have jumped in with my opinion. I feel that if we didn't answer newbie questions, those newbies wouldn't learn and become better developers. This community has a lot of valuable members who came here knowing very little, but stuck around and now help a lot.My problem with you is that you are rude. You are rude to people that try to help you if you don't like their solution, and tend to totally disregard good advice because you don't like it, or don't like the person giving it. You are also very rude and ungrateful to people that do help you regularly. This isn't a new thing, this goes back to your very first thread on sqlteam. You also have a problem with a few members of the community, and tend to make that known without provocation. You are also have a tendancy to ask really newbie questions that are answered in BOL. My usual thing to do there for a newbie, is answer the question and point out how to find it in the doco. Which is pretty much what I did in the thread that sent you into a tantrum (except the question has already been answered). Now, I'm sorry you had some posts deleted, they were probably just you being a smartass, but I'm sorry anyway. That shouldn't happen. But how about you start being a valuable member of this community instead of a pain in the ass.Damian |

Can anyone botch for that ?Tara,Do I not always say thanks everytime you help me ? You even made a comment that I say it so much even when no one answers my questions .Or when MichaelP assisted me with some outlook issues, did I not offer you something in return Mike?Or spirit, or corey, all of these people when they've helped i've said thanks.Sorry I'm not as perfect as you are with SQL but you should understand that people have various backgrounds. You might be good with sql but there may come a day where you need help outside of that, and that is what you don't understand.I don't find myself being rude at all, maybe you're reading me the wrong way? Like I said don't answer my threads if you don't like it.It's really that simple |

quote: I don't find myself being rude at all,
Well, I'm going to say this in the hope that it hits home. People, on this forum, who have given their time to help you, consider you to be rude, aggressive nd ungrateful. I know this because they have told me.I'm not going to argue that, it's a fact. You can not consider yourself rude, and go on acting the way you act, or you can take it on board and consider it the next time you post.As for your threads, I usually do keep out of them, and probably still will. When I have answered, you usually ignore me anyway. However, that means you can't tell me people you want to "kick my ass" for never helping you. Now, I'm waiting for an apology for you accusing me of being unfair and deleting your posts Damian |
